Pelican Island Cruise Bird Watch departs from Wanchese Harbor. You will see commercial fishermen and women working in Pamlico sound, the Bodie Island Lighthouse from the soundside, Duck Island hunting lodge, built around 1920, several Osprey (fish hawk) nests, probably a dolphin or two, Pelican Island, home to over 4,000 birds of several varieties, and much more.
